Do you believe in miracles?

So I just returned from a conference called Jesus Culture Awakening. As expected, God showed up. Having 22000 followers of Jesus (or revivalists as we were called) in one place is always a delight. It was amazing to see all the different brothers and sisters in Christ, most my age, from all of the United States. As one group worshipping God, we got a glimpse of what it Heaven could be like.

Miracles! Yes, miracles. It is a controversial topic. But Christ has poured out His Spirit on us, and we can and will see miracles if we will only go… go out into the world to pray and preach, preach and pray. For the sake of time, I’ll just list a few miracles that occurred:

-One girl felt a pain in her knee and asked if anyone else felt some pain. I guy said “ I have a pain in my back, but not my knee.” She asked if she could pray and once she laid her hand on him, his back was instantly healed. Keep in mind, this is a girl who has never gone out and prayed for healing. This was her first time.
-Several cases of people in wheel chairs getting healed.
-A poor man had a bullet embedded in his shoulder; he pointed out the lump where it was. Some guys prayed for Him a couple times until the bullet completely dissolved in his back. They got his reaction on camera while they were at the bus stop.
-A girl with scoliosis had her spine straightened.
-Several reports from previous conferences about people healing drowned children (in the unconventional way), people removing whole body casts, etc.
-On the last night, we all prayed for a massive healing for all who were there that were still injured from accidents and dozens were healed.
-Who knows how many more…


So how do we respond? What does this mean? God is pouring out His spirit on us. A massive outpouring is coming. God doesn’t ask us to do the possible. We do that every day. Jesus asks us to do the impossible because He will make the impossible possible. Humans weren’t made to depend on human strength.

If we would just believe! How simple, yet how hard it is. The devil loves to ask us the question: “What if nothing happens?!?” He has whispered that into my ear more than once. But 30 seconds of humiliation is worth it to see a miracle! People are so concerned about running into the devil. But if you don’t run into him, you might be running in the same direction as him. We should not be afraid of opposition. We should expect it. And we should rejoice at our victory over it. In Christ, we stand on solid ground. Fear becomes faith with the power of the Holy Spirit.

I don’t endure my ministry, I enjoy it! No one can serve God the way I serve God. God is creator, not a duplicator.

So let’s not be afraid to ask our Father for the impossible. We are where God has chosen to interact with humanity. The greatest way to heal this world is us! Let’s open the floodgates! And it doesn’t have to be a mind blowing miracle all the time. If you can’t get excited over a headache, how will you handle an emptied wheelchair?

One last thing: In our lives, we need to give honor to others. We should celebrate the glory of God in others lives! If you don’t know how to give honor, you don’t know how to receive honor. What would shock the nation is a generation of high school and college students that honored their teacher and honored their parents. Honoring does not mean flattering. Anybody can flatter, but honor comes out of humility. Some of you have unsaved parents that would be saved if you would honor them. Some of you would see revival in your church, if you would honor your pastor. And if God honors you, say “thank you”, get alone with Him and say “Look at what somebody gave me that belongs to you.” We should consider (all) others better than ourselves and we should rejoice at Christ’s work in each and every one of our lives.

The blind see. The dead live. The lame walk. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
